Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick Review & Swatches
I luuuuhh-luh-luh-LOVE lipstick… too much (yeah right, like that’s a thing!). I think I’m *this* close to needing a support group, y’all! 😉
Anywho, I wanna share my latest Arbonne Smoothed Over lippies with you guys. They’re highly pigmented with true color payoff, they have a nice satin-glossy finish, and they feel really good on the lips. Smoothed Over lippies come in 16 shades and they retail for $28 each. I got to sample the following shades: Peony (bright pink), Hibiscus (earthy red), and Aster (mauve). Peep my swatches below.
Overall impression: As you can see, the colors are gorrrgeous. They wear really well, are flattering, and have some interesting beneficial ingredients in the mix – plant extracts derived from watermelon and apples that add a plumping effect and hyaluronic acid for mega hydration. On the flip side, there are a handful of funky, multi-syllable ingredients peppered in there as well. 🙁

I’m a huge proponent of non-toxic, all-natural beauty, and I was a bit surprised and confused by Arbonne’s long list of unpronounceable ingredients, especially since they state this on their website: “We are all about being green – always have been and always will be. From botanically based ingredients to forward-looking green improvements, being earth friendly has everything to do with who we are and how we choose to grow.”
Arbonne, love y’all to bits and pieces, but pleeeeeaaaase get it togetha. xx
